Meet Our Coaches
Our coaches share a unique combination of current or past competition in the sports they coach, passion for working with athletes, and a desire to be the best in their field.
Coaches are required to keep certifications current and to be actively studying a topic related to their field. Unlike our competitors, who may coach upwards of 60 athletes at a time, we commit to coaching less than 30. The low ratio allows JDS Sportcoaching, LLC to fulfill on the company's foundational commitment to offer athletes an unparalleled level of customized service.
Jonathan Siegel
Director of Coaching
Jonathan competed in tennis and swimming through high school and college, dabbling in running and triathlons along the way. While training for triathlons he discovered the joy of cycling fast, and since 1982 has competed in road cycling.
With the creation of JDS Sportcoaching, LLC in 2000, Jonathan realized his long-time career goal to become fully committed to helping other athletes reach their performance goals.

The beginning of 2005 marked a significant milestone in company growth with the hiring of additional visionary associate coaches with passion for community. In achieving this performance goal, Jonathan realized his passion for developing others to reach their professional goals. Jonathan is committed to the development of athletes at all levels. In 2003, he developed and sponsored an annual women’s cycling seminar and has since had the honor to introduce over 100 women to the world of bicycle racing. The seminar series helped initiate two women’s-only cycling clubs, one in Boulder and one in Denver. In 2004, Jonathan initiated discussion with University of Denver Club Cycling with the goal of resuscitating the dormant club. The 2005-2006 school year opened with 35 new club members. In May of '06, the team sent a squad of cyclists to collegiate nationals for the first time ever. Justin Rose, a JDS Sportcoaching athlete, gained the podium in the Road Race with a 3rd place finish. |
In August 2006, Jonathan began coaching the Cross Country Running team at the Denver School of Science and Technology. In its third year as a school, and first in CHSSA competition, the team competed in district and regional meets.
JDS Sportcoaching, LLC also regularly partners with the ACA to develop programs and host clinics for beginning racers. Most recently, the company has taken on the responsibility for expanding and delivering the 2007 ACA Road Skills Clinics in the Rocky Mountain region.
