Meet Our Coaches

Our coaches share a unique combination of current or past competition in the sports they coach, passion for working with athletes, and a desire to be the best in their field.

Coaches are required to keep certifications current and to be actively studying a topic related to their field. Unlike our competitors, who may coach upwards of 60 athletes at a time, we commit to coaching less than 30. The low ratio allows JDS Sportcoaching, LLC to fulfill on the company's foundational commitment to offer athletes an unparalleled level of customized service.

Contact Tom

A transplant at age 7 to Asheville, North Carolina, from Flemington, New Jersey, Tom attended school through college in the Tarheel state. He had used a bicycle for transportation and recreation during his six years at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and figured that would be his ticket to good health.

After moving to Parker, Colorado eight years ago, Tom decided that cycling was just what the doctor ordered. At first, he admits that all he wanted to do was ride his mountain bike, but the long drive to the trails finally got old. Driving to ride seemed to defeat the purpose, so he gave in, got a road bike, joined a local racing team and started training!

Tom's professional background as a pharmacist has given him a lot of physiological and medicinal training to draw from, and informs his own training and athletic development, as well as conversations with and coaching of others.

" I have raced for the past five years on both the road and mountain bike, and I am passionate about cyclocross. I have trained under the coaching of Jonathan Siegel for the past three years and am inspired to share the insight and experience I have gained."

"My work with JDS Sportcoaching includes training at cycling skills clinics and coaching athletes in the effective use of EMS units and Ergomo Powermeters. I am committed to providing cyclists with the tools, information and support they need generating their next performance level and achieve their goals."

"I am a professional member of DESA.  Diabetes Exercise & Sports Association (DESA) exists to enhance the quality of life for people with diabetes through exercise and physical fitness.

"It is my intention and passion to provide coaching to
people with diabetes at all levels of fitness to fulfill on the mission of DESA."
